This document explains in detail the integration of our Cleantie platform with Clover's secure semi-integration solution. The semi-integration allows the Cleantie POS software to accept EMV-ready, PCI-compliant payments through Clover. The Clover platform offers a customer-facing experience that enhances the payment process on Cleantie for handling all payment types.
This document helps the Clover App Approval team understand the integration process between Cleantie POS and the Clover system.

Cleantie POS App Outline
Cleantie Cloud Based POS is the latest product from Computer Systems Int’l (CSI). Cleantie is modernizing today’s dry cleaning, laundromat, clothing alteration, and shoe repair businesses.
Our platform includes Cleantie POS app, Cleantie/Cleantie+ Customer App, Cleantie Driver App and Cleantie Dispatcher App, all designed to empower customers.
Cleantie is offered as SaaS (Software as a Service) with a subscription plan. The free Cleantie customer app allows customers to request on demand pickup & delivery service from Dry Cleaners and Laundromats. Cleantie POS or Customer App is not available in the Clover App market. Instead, Cleantie POS uses Clover's Semi Integration through Cloud Pay Display to process credit card transactions on Clover's Flex terminal device and uses Clover's eCommerce API to process Card On File payments for App customers. Our customer app uses Cleantie's Payment server to Save and process Credit card information.
Merchant Onboarding Process
The following process shows how to get a merchant onboard and connect their Clover account to the Cleantie App.
Install Cleantie App from Clover App Market
- Sign-in to Clover Sandbox Account https://sandbox.dev.clover.com/dashboard/login
- Use the following link to connect the Cleantie App from App Market to your account.

- From dashboard, select More Tools -> Installed Apps; you should see the Cleantie App listed there.
- Ensure the Cloud Pay Display app is installed on your Clover Flex.
Cleantie POS Setup Process
- Sign-in to Cleantie POS: http://pos.cleantie.com
- Select Admin -> Management -> Payment Settings -> Credit Card Gateways
- Select Clover Payment
- Ensure the "Set Clover As Default Gateway" checkbox is selected
- Select "Connect to your Clover Account"
- You get redirected to Clover's login screen
- Logon to your Clover account, to authenticate, you then get redirected back to https://pos.cleantie.com
- If you have a Clover Flex Terminal, select enable payment via Flex Terminal
Setup Payment Types
- Select Admin -> Management -> Payment Settings -> Payment Types
- Enable Online feature for credit cards and debit card.
Setup Customer Card On File (COF)
Cleantie offers COF option to Save Card on File through Cleantie POS or Cleantie Customer App. However Cleantie does not offer Recurring Payments option.
- To save a credit card for COF customers, from main menu, select checkin
- Select Edit customer profile
- Go to Payment Tab, select the COF checkmark option, enter credit card number, expiry date, CVV.
- Press Save.
- The following sample notification email is sent by app.clover to customer with option to delete the Card On File.
- Card on file is added to customer's profile when customer signs up through Cleantie Customer App. The App uses Clover eCommerce API. The following consent is shown: I hereby authorize Cleantie to Save my credit card on file for future transactions on my account .
- Customer has the option to delete the card on file through customer app.
Key Steps
The following are the key steps/ core functionalities of Cleantie using Clover Cloud Pay Display and eCommerce Pay.
- Process credit and debit payments from Cleantie POS on Clover Flex terminal for physical cards
- Process credit payments from Cleantie POS for manual entry.
- Sync payments to invoices.
- Email payment links to customers to make online payment with secure payment links.
- Save Card On File and accept payments from customers directly inside the Cleantie Customer App
- Give customers the ability to view and pay off invoices at any time.
Customer Interaction
Cleantie builds customer profiles automatically from the customer app and is added by the merchant using the POS app. Cleantie does not use the Clover customers that are saved when making payment on a Clover device for any marketing purposes.
Cleantie offers a very sophisticated payment processing feature that is used during Check-In for Pre-payments, at Check-Out or customer account payment using Invoice Utilities. Except for a few minor exceptions, the process remains the same throughout.
Cleantie processes Credit & Debit for manual and Card-on-File transactions. The process is as follows:
In tender screen, select credit card and follow these steps below:
- If your system is equipped with at least one Clover terminal, it is automatically selected.
- Press Submit Payment to process the transaction.
- The transaction is submitted to selected Clover terminal and the user is promoted to make the payment on the device.
- Upon successful authorization, an approval code appears on the tender screen.
- For manual entry, simply enter the card number, expiry date and CVV# on tender screen. Press Submit Payment.
- If customer has a card on file, the credit card details is auto filled. Select Submit Payment to process COF.
Interaction with another mobile/web app
The Cleantie Customer App is used by busy customers to get the best, most convenient, high-quality pickup and delivery experience. Users use the free app to conveniently find the best dry cleaner and laundromat in their area, place a pickup and delivery order online, or use the curbside option to drop off laundry or pickup at the store and pay in advance without waiting in line. The Cleantie Customer App uses the Clover eCommerce API to save a customer's credit card on file and apply payment for services.

Test Payment Flow Videos

- Read & Write Payments - For Synchronizing with Cleantie POS & Initiating Refunds
- Ecommerce - For Processing Payments
