Scales Setup

Cleantie supports any USB HID-compliant weight scale. Follow the steps below to setup and connect your scale to the Cleantie driver. We recommend the Fairbanks Scales Flat Top Parcel Shipping Scale. Save time and money by quickly and easily weighing Wash & Fold bags.

Step 1. Connect your Scale using a USB cable to the USB port on your computer.

Step 2. Go to Windows Start, select programs, and select the Cleantie Driver from the Cleantie folder. Logon to the driver using your Cleantie account credentials. Go to Driver Settings. Under Scale Settings, select the scale type (e.g., Fairbanks). If your scale is not listed in the type, enter the proper Vendor ID and Product ID from step 4.

Step 3. Configure your price list to read the scale when Wash & Fold Item is selected. Check item options in the Price List setup. Click here to for additional information on how to configure the price list options.

Step 4. If your scale type is not listed in the Cleantie driver, use the following process to find out your scale's Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID) during the USB integration process. Go to Windows Control Panel->Devices and Printers->locate your scale->right click->Properties->Select HID Complication Interface->Select Events->Make note of the Vendor Id and PID.

Step 5.

1. Download and install Scale test program

3. Run USBHIDScale.exe as administrator
4. For Fairbanks use Vendor id 0B67 and PID 555E
5. For Mettler Toledo  use Vendor id 0EB8 and PID 2200
6. For Dymo Scale  use Vendor  id 0922 and PID 8003
7. Select open, select read
8. If you are able to read the scale, that means your scale is compatible.
