Checking Your Invoice and Tag Printers
When you have checked everything with the Cleantie Printer Driver and are still having errors with invoices and tags not being printed it could be an issue with the printers themselves.
- Check If The Printer Is On And Check The Cable Connections
Most commonly the printer is off or one of the cables has came loose. Start by checking if the power light is on at the front of the printer. Next check the cables. Make sure the cables are plugged in tightly. You can unplug and plug them back in to ensure a proper connection after turning off the printer. On the taskbar, select the Search icon, type Printers in the search bar, and then select Printers & scanners from the search results to open the Printers & scanners system settings.
- Check The System Settings
Open the System Settings and select Bluetooth and Devices. You can search on the taskbar, select the Search icon, type Printers in the search bar, and then select Printers & Scanners from the search results to open the Printers & canners system setting. From your list of printers you should see your invoice printer and tag printer if you have one. Select your printer and it should say idle if it is connected and working properly. You can test this by selecting to print a test page. Not available or any other message lets you know it is not connected and is not working as it should.
If the printer status is idle then that is great and there are a few more things we can check. Next select Open Print Queue and check to see if there are any jobs on the queue. If there are click on the three white dots at the top right of the queue and select cancel all. Now try to reprint the invoice or report.
- Other Issues:
Check if the paper is put in correctly. Check the cutter for a paper jam. Check if the printer is out of paper.
Also you can check in the Cleantie POS settings the number of prints set to print. If it is set to 0 the invoices won’t print. Make sure to check both customer and store copies.
